Outdoor areas have been designed for any kind of weather with certain sections being under cover and others open to the sun. Interior décor is mirrored outside with the exterior lounge as comfortable as those inside. There are wood and gas barbecues, a trampoline, outdoor speakers, an enclosed swimming pool, and sun loungers to add to the enjoyment.

The upper level of the villa is devoted to the four bedrooms. Double doors open onto the impressive master suite with its corner position and stunning ocean and city views. The room is furnished with an extra length King-size bed and doors lead out to a private balcony. The spacious en-suite bathroom has a double volume ceiling allowing for large windows and a view of Lion’s Head.

The second bedroom has a high loft ceiling and offers plenty of space and light. It is furnished with a King-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third and fourth bedrooms share a bathroom with both bath and shower. The one has a double bed, and the other is twin bedded.

Mukambi Safaris has a luxury bush camp called Fig Tree Bush Camp in an undiscovered part of Kafue National Park.

The camp has 4 tented chalets on 3-meter high platforms above the ground, 3 of them giving a spectacular view over the Shishamba river and the 4th tent facing the plains, overlooking the watering hole in front of the infinity pool. At the lagoon in front of the boma, various animals can be spotted when they come to drink. 

Set in the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Simbambili has world-class game viewing opportunities. The managers, Mike and Tania, have been at Simbambili for over 10 years and ensure the lodge has a comfortable, sophisticated feel. We recently renovated the suites, which have been elegantly designed to blend in with the dense stands of knobthorn and jackalberry trees along the meandering Manyeleti River.

Inspired by the incredible breathtaking scenery and beauty of the biggest in-land delta in the world, the ‘Okavango Delta’. After the first visit to the Delta in 2016 with the family.

It was clear we had to showcase this to the whole world!!! It was also clear that conservation had to be top of the agenda including preserving the culture of the tribes who live and breathe the Delta.

The name Xaoo means ‘Buffalo’ in the native language of Sesarwa, comes from the frequent Buffalo visits to the nearby marshes of the Camp.

The Chalets

Xaoo Safari Camp is a tented camp, off of the tiny village of Xoxao in the Okavango Delta. The village is home to a diverse Batswana tribe which includes a combination of Basarwa, Bayei and Baherero natives. Situated seventeen kilometers west of Shorobe Village in to the heart of the eastern part of the Okavango Delta.

Six gorgeous luxury tented and raised chalets with a capacity of a maximum of three or four people per chalet (two adults and two children or 3 adults). The chalets are ideal for couples, small families, and friends. The chalets are well spaced apart ensuring privacy and a personal experience. An excellent place for your much-needed rest in between your activities. Chalets are in-suite and equipped with:

-Super-sized King size Bed or two ¾ beds (based on preference)

-Sleeper couch

-Indoor bath tub

-Outdoor shower

-Multiple socket charging point

-Hot water

Wild Life

The lagoon which is situated on the longest side of the property has an abundance interested small swamp animals e.g. fish, frogs, and these are a big attractant for those who feed on them.

Water-based and land activities are offered at Xaoo, and these are carried out just ten minutes away in a private concession that shares a border with the Moremi Game Reserve. The area boasts of an abundance of wildlife including but not limited to the Big five.
This private concession is a hidden gem, and guests get to experience very low volumes of tourists moving about, and therefore an intimate experience with nature. Activities include mokoro excursions, game viewing drive, walking safaris, cultural village tours, overnights on Island as well as at Khwai/Moremi, Elephant sanctuary tour, Helicopter scenic flights and massage spas.

Conservation

As a means of playing a part in conservation, the whole camp is solar powered. The vegetation in and around the lodge has largely been left as is with a view to preserve nature in its natural form. We fiercely protect and value everything from an ant to an elephant.

Giving Back

Xaoo Safari camp is situated off of the village of Xuxao with no more than 300 natives scattered in and around the NG35 concession. Our vision is to support this community with basic necessities in the areas of a) fresh water b) food suppliers c) and sustainable employment. Guests are invited and encouraged to leave any donation which can enable us to fulfil this noble cause.

The Plains Camp is the seasonal luxury bush camp of Mukambi Safaris located deep in the heart of the famous Busanga Plains in the north of beautiful Kafue National Park. The Busanga Plain is 720km2 of palm groves, papyrus-choked reed beds and lily-covered lagoons representing one of the few wetland wildernesses in the world − a place where authentic African wildlife thrives, and the safari experience is second to none.

In the wake of the pandemic, tourism in Victoria Falls plummeted as lockdowns brought travel to a halt. The Wallow was a few months away from opening when borders around the world began closing.

Welcome to Sable Valley, known for its sprawling grassy plains and abundance of wildlife diversity. The Dete Vlei, home to Sable Valley, provides scenic landscapes of exceptional and rare beauty, sustaining an ecosystem of remarkable habitat and species, all whilst maintains its ecological resilience and amazing natural phenomena. The Vlei is home to robust populations of some of the world most endangered large mammals such as Cheetah, Wild Dog & Leopard. The natural habitats of the nominated area are diverse, with 1070 plant species which include about 255 trees and shrubs and over 202 grasses, 470 species of bird and 100 specials of mammal. The Dete Vlei plays a pivotal role of the conservation of wildlife. This pristine concession is co-managed and protected by Forestry Commission and The Amalinda Safari Collection’s Mother Africa Trust anti poaching unit.

Perfectly situated on the banks of the Kariega River Estuary but tucked unobtrusively into the indigenous bush, Forest Camp offers a blend of essential comforts and warm, charming style. Kudu, wildebeest, impala, warthogs regularly cross your path, running past the terrace of your chalet or villa looking for food and water. And you can walk and bike freely in the reserve, coming eye to eye with the animals.

The accommodation consists of 15 chalets en villa’s that offer space to 2, 4 or 6 persons. All beautifully situated in the bush or the parklike landscape. Each accommodation has a private shower and separate toilet per room, a veranda and a fully equipped (outdoor) kitchen, including tea/coffee facilities and of course free wifi.

Ohorongo Tented Camp is a small camp, catering to guests in just four tents, so the experience and atmosphere around the camp is intimate and peaceful. Old Drift Lodge speaks to the rich heritage of the area. A ‘drift or ‘ford’, is a shallow place in a river or stream where it is possible to cross safely without using a boat. Around 1898, the Old Drift (originally known as Sekutes Drift) was used as a crossing point over the Zambezi River between what was then Southern and Northern Rhodesia (today Zimbabwe and Zambia). The drift was at a point on the river, 7 kilometres above the Falls, where the river is wide but runs low enough during certain periods for safe crossing.

The main lodge area boast 360 degree views, north facing onto the Zambezi & south facing onto a water hole. Only 4.5 kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls, Old Drift Lodge is the closest lodge within the National Park to Victoria Falls. A myriad of other activities are available at the lodge, which include horse trails, game walks, hiking, mountain biking and birding. The lodge has three two-bedroomed family cottages, which offer spectacular views of the surrounding hills and six double cottages suitable for couples & single travellers.

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. Kirurumu Serengeti Central Camp is a lovely mobile camp, moved seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti. The camp is used as a base, a spring board for an early morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a days adventure where stories can be swapped around a fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff are on hand just to look after a very limited number of guests and so the level of attention and service is always excellent.

Mara Explorer is situated on a broad, thickly forested bend of the Talek River in the very heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Delight in a luxury safari at King’s Pool, in the wild Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana. This is Africa up-close. Camp Ndlovu is situated in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, a  34,850 hectare stretch of exceptionally beautiful scenery amid river ravines and mountains in the Waterberg district of Limpopo province. The Game Reserve is malaria free and home to Africa’s world famous Big 5.

Welgevonden offers a truly unique big five safari experience. As if the reserve’s beautiful and varied topography and its wealth of wildlife were not enough, the ban on private vehicles within the reserve and the heavily restricted number of guests – combined with the fact that the animals have never been hunted – means you’ll have the kind of up close and personal encounters that you will remember for a lifetime.

Nkorombo is Serian’s tented mobile camp, set on a private riverside site in the Masai Mara Reserve. This snug little setup is chock-full of character with a view over the rushing Mara River, bursting with laughing hippo and languorous crocodile. Much like at Serian and Ngare Serian, life at Nkorombo is low-key and tranquil. Nestled among a stand of wild olive and orange croton, the camp is right next to a lively salt lick that regularly features black rhino, and lion and leopard on the lookout for kill… There is an abundance of prey in this area, and it’s the perfect spot for spectacular game viewing.

The Highlands has redefined the Ngorongoro Crater experience, offering an array of activities afforded by the camp’s exclusive location and a combination of comfort and contemporary style. 

The award-winning camp with its eight domed canvas and glass suites is situated on the edge of a forest that skirts Olmoti Volcano. The surrounding Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

The camp feels remote, but is within easy reach of Ngorongoro, where guests can go on day-long game drives to spot lions, elephants and giraffes, with a midday picnic break under a shady tree. From camp, hike up to the top of Olmoti for staggering views, or take a half-day trip to the soda lake in Empakaai Crater, where thousands of pink flamingos congregate. Guests can also interact with the local community, learning about Maasai culture and walk the cattle back to the boma at the end of the day.  

At night, gather around a crackling fire with a glass of wine or whiskey before sitting down to a delicious three-course dinner.
