From the private terrace of your tent you can observe the wildlife of the area. Many animals visit the lake in search of water and therefore this camp is in a privileged observation point.

Besides, this area is the principle setting of the Great Migration which takes place from December to April and the Big Five visit the area. The camp is set-up every year in a different part of the area, to make sure that you will always have the best place to see this impressive spectacle from your own tent.

In addition, the camp is ecological without losing in comfort and attention. The electricity is generated by solar panels and the water is rain water collected during the rains. All the products used are biodegradables.

Each tent is built on a raised wooden platform with a verandah from which guests can observe the wildlife visiting Lake Masek.

The bedroom area is ample and tastefully furnished.   The bathroom area with twin washbasins, a standalone bath and an outside shower is separated from the bedroom area by way of a screen, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing bath or take a shower under the stars.

The main house has a lounge and dining area and a large verandah overlooking the lake.

The lounge is decorated with comfortable sofas and armchairs grouped together to create intimacy, and meals are served in the dining area or on the verandah from which you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Lake Masek.

There are 4x4 vehicles based at the camp offering fantastic game drives in the area.    Bush breakfasts and/or cocktails can be arranged in private areas of the park upon request.

The camp is located one-hour drive from the important Olduvai archaeological site where the Leakeys made important  discoveries.  This is a visit that you should not miss.

Also, escorted hikes give you an extraordinary opportunity to walk together with a very experienced Masai Guide who will introduce you to their culture and everyday activities.   A visit to a Masai house (boma) can be arranged as well.

During the migration season balloon safaris can be arranged.

After a long safari or just before commencing a day observing the wildlife relax in our beautiful country house hotel. Kahawa House opened in 2019 is the latest addition to Tanganyika Wilderness Camps’ portfolio of lodges and camps. Conveniently located only four kms. from Arusha Airport. This homely lodge is the ideal base either on the way to the Parks, after a safari or even as a stopover on the way back home.

With views of the Kilimajaro and the endless plains of the African savannah, Kambi ya Tembo is a spectacular camp situated on the north face of the Kilimanjaro with fantastic views of Amboseli and where one can enjoy the wildlife in the front line.

The camp is located in Sinya, a 600 square kilometres concession which offers incomparable scenery with magnificent views of the Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and the Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok peaks. Tarangire Kati Kati Tented Camp is a mobile camp strategically located within Tarangire National Park, specifically near the Silale Swamp. The camp is situated in a prime private campsite in the Silale area, one of the prime areas of the national park.

The camp consists of 11 tents, including a family tent – it can accommodate a variety of travelers. Additionally, there is a mess tent where meals are served, providing a communal space for our guests to dine and socialize. One notable advantage of the camp’s location inside the park is that it allows travelers to be among the first to embark on game drives.
