– Sunblock
– Hat
– Insect repellent.
– Binoculars
– Day bag, useful for keeping things in on game drives
– Headlamp or torch is useful
– Wet-wipes and some leave in/dry shampoo maybe useful for early mornings when you don’t have time for a shower is a good idea
– A couple of re-sealable plastic bags.
– A good waterproof jacket is useful in the rainy season and in the dry season something wind-proof for early morning game drives and evenings when it gets chilly.
– Long pants with a blouse/shirt is common at dinner time.  You will need some short-sleeved t-shirts and a couple of long sleeved shirts (for sun protection as well as warmth).  Loose layers and accessories that protect you from the sun and biting insects.  Stick to bush or neutral colours rather than light/bright or white colours as these can spook the animals.  Zip-off pants that turn into shorts are great as morning game drives are cold and then it gets warmer.   A warm fleece for early mornings and around the fire in the evenings.
– You only need to take two pairs of comfortable shoes. Flat shoes are more practical than heels when walking on wooden boardwalks and sandy paths. Flip-flops are fine for around the pool and boating trips.  – One pair of good walking shoes is useful.
