We are excited to share some significant updates at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge that are set to redefine our luxury safari experience. Our commitment to providing guests with an unparalleled stay has inspired a series of enhancements, culminating in a necessary adjustment to our rates.
Enhancements at the Lodge from 1 May 2024:
Private Plunge Pools: In line with our promise of Africalm and luxury, each of our tents will now feature a private plunge pool, offering guests a unique poolside view over the Nhlaralumi River and the beauty of the Timbavati.
Exclusive Safari Experience: Our safari vehicles now accommodate only six guests, ensuring a window seat for all and a more personal encounter with nature.
Spa Sala: A new spa sala is being added to Simbavati Hilltop Lodge to offer spa treatments with some of the best views in the Timbavati for a more immersive experience.
Wi-Fi Connectivity in the Tents: Understanding the need to stay connected, each luxury safari tent will now be equipped with Wi-Fi, blending the raw beauty of nature with the convenience of modern connectivity.
Large Solar Investment: We are committed to sustainability and aim to reduce our carbon footprint to be substantially powered by solar.
Updated Rate Structure:
We believe these enhancements will significantly enrich the guest experience, making every stay with us even more memorable.
These enhancements require an adjustment to our rate at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge. The revised rack rate is R17,500 per person sharing, per night, effective from 1 May 2024.
The above rate is valid for all new bookings made from 15 January 2024 and naturally the current rate will be honoured for all existing bookings.

8 luxurious tented rooms offer a choice or King or twin beds. Each suite has glorious views over the bushveld, the dam and the Nhlaralumi River. French doors open out onto an expansive viewing deck, each with its own private sala pavilion with double day bed for an afternoon read or snooze.
The en-suite bathroom tent is connected to the bedroom tent via a small passage. On the deck is a double ’rain’ shower with views over the dam.

Currently wifi is available in the main lodge area only, but from 01 May 2024 wifi will be available in the tents too
• All Direct reservations require a 10% deposit upon booking confirmation, to be paid within 7 days
• Easter Weekend and Festive Season: 25% non-refundable deposit
• Final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival
• All requests, confirmations and cancellations are only valid if in writing. Please ensure that you receive acknowledgment of your cancellation from our Reservations Department. The cancellation fee is a percentage of the full accommodation account
• All cancellations must be made in writing to res@simbavati.com
• Up to 61 days prior to arrival: 10% cancellation fee
• 31 to 60 days prior to arrival: 25% cancellation fee
• 15 to 30 days prior to arrival: 75% cancellation fee
• 14 days prior to arrival: 90% cancellation fee
• All cancellation fees are calculated on the total booking value.
• Please note that 100% cancellation fees will be charged if guests decide to depart early while staying with us
• Festive Season: 21 Dec 2024 to 05 Jan 2025
• Provisional bookings will only be held for 7 days; or 48 hours within 7 days of arrival or if Reservations specifies due to high demand. Thereafter the booking will automatically be released
• For reservations within 15 days of arrival, full payment is required upon confirmation
• We reserve the right to cancel the booking if deposit or final payment is not received at the appropriate time
• Pilot/Driver’s Room: R950 nett (excluding beverages, activities subject to availability). Only available at Simbavati River Lodge and Simbavati Hilltop Lodge and subject to availability at the time of booking confirmation
• Tour Leader/Guide: R1,200 nett (only with a minimum of 12 paying guests)
