InventTour - Maweninga Camp

Perched atop an imposing granite outcrop, this camp enjoys a privileged location within Tarangire National Park, with sweeping views over Lake Manyara and Lake Burunge.

Tarangire is regarded as one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife havens, famed for its vast herds of elephants and towering baobab trees. Covering 2,850 km² at an average altitude of 1,100 metres, the park is also home to species rarely seen in other reserves, including gerenuk, lesser and greater kudu, oryx, and eland.

The camp’s 16 canvas tents are set on individual raised wooden platforms, each designed to blend comfort with an authentic bush atmosphere. Similar in layout and décor, they feature open terraces, spacious bedrooms, and a dressing alcove leading to an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, wash basin, and shower, complete with 24-hour hot water.
