Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is a popular safari destination for game drives, bird watching, hiking, picnics and more. It is home to a large variety of wildlife (including the black rhino) Its beautiful lake and green surroundings have attracted people from far and near making this National Park a favorite getaway destination. Lake Nakuru is Kenya’s third largest lake, after Lake Turkana and Lake Victoria, and has one of the largest populations of flamingos in the world.

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is set along "the Lion Hill" in Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. Concealing its remote location amidst Kenyas Great Rift Valley, the safari lodge offers the most scenic and spectacular views of the Lake and the National Park from its 67 chalet style rooms, all with terraces and a sense of calm and relaxation provided by its classic aesthetic and timeless design. Loldia House is an original Kenyan home set on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Here guests can enjoy a gentle pace of life; relax by the pool, take in the views, head off on a game drive or indulge in a variety of treatments from our poolside spa room.

Loldia House offers a choice of accommodation either in the old family house or in cottages in the grounds. In the main house, there is one en-suite double room. Close by are three other guest cottages (each housing two separate rooms, all en-suite), surrounded by pretty gardens and offering incredible views across the lake to the extinct volcano, Mount Longonot. Up on the hill is the specially built Top Cottage, which has three double bedrooms and its own sitting room with an open log fire, making it ideal for families or close friends travelling together. The vista from up here is stupendous!

Set on private land between Nakuru and Gilgil, and above Lake Elementaita, Sunbird Lodge is named after one of the more than 450 species of birds in this area.

It offers 10 spacious en suite cottages built with natural materials and thatched roofs, each with a large private veranda from where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and an unspoilt view over Lake Elementaita.   Features include mosquito nets, safe and telephone.

Dining is either in the restaurant, which also offers a marvellous view, or you can enjoy a pleasant outdoor experience under the stars (weather permitting) overlooking the swimming pool and Lake Elementaita/Soysambu.   Two fire places will keep you warm during the cool evenings. 

Some of the activities include game drives in Nakuru National Park, balloon safaris followed by a champagne bush breakfast, or watching the sunset over the lake while you enjoy a sundowner.   

Massage treatments are also available, or you can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.

The Lodge is within 20 minutes’ drive from Lake Nakuru National Park.

Located inside the Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya, Samburu Sopa lodge is built atop high ground allowing panaromic views of the vastness of Samburu shrub land and the hills beyond.  The lodge is built to reflect the architectural heritage of the local communities whose sons and daughters make up the majority of the work force at the lodge.  Fifteen cottages, each with two bedrooms are built in an arch formation on either side of the public areas to surround the waterhole but leaving a wide gap to allow the animals free movement to the water.

10 Rustic lava-stone cottages with thatched roofs are surrounded by euphorbia candelabra, yellow barked acacia and other indigenous trees. Mbweha Camp is only a few hours from Nairobi, yet feels right away from it all with its relaxed atmosphere.  Being situated outside a National Park allows many activities, including walking, mountain biking and night game drives. Guests can also enjoy day trips into Nakuru National Park with the option of a gourmet bush lunch with spectacular views of the Lake and the National Park. Being in the heart of Soysambu Conservancy Implies Clients are enreached in history as Soysambu is a world Heritage Site and Ramsar Site. Add on the fact that it is an important bird area, home to a great variety of flora and funa with a set of 12,000 wildlife including 10% of the global population of the endangered colosius monkey. Both the lesser and greater flamingo frequent the near by L. Elementaita whichis also a breeding ground for the great white pelican. Tourist can get of wildlife all a mere 16km away from the camp.
