Usangu Expedition Camp is situated in a shady spot on the outskirts of the high water mark of the Usangu Wetlands. This largely unexplored wilderness, with no other camps in the area, is an adventurer's dream. Walking safaris, fly camping, night game drives and boating on the waterways provide a variety of options for exploring this vast wilderness. The camp consists of just 4 guest tents and a central mess tent, with a maximum capacity of 8 guests at any given time. Guest tents are spacious and comfortable, situated on raised wooden decking with en-suite flush toilets and safari showers. The neighbouring Douglas Bell Eco Research Station offers guests the opportunity to interact with the research process, as well as actively contribute through self-positioned camera traps, predator identification, and contribution to the image database.
