Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp Ndutu is located on the southern plains of Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation area. The number of tents varies and never exceeds 12, so a maximum of 24 guests at any given time.

This is the ultimate and original tented camp experience with ensuite bathrooms, bucket showers, comfortable bedding, beautiful linens and a dining and lounge tent for relaxing and escaping the heat of the day or inclement weather. Simbavati Migration Camp is a beacon of luxury and adventure. This mobile camp moves its prime location twice a year, perfectly placed near the Mara River during the wildebeest migration, and just north of Lake Ndutu in the South of the Serengeti during the calving season.

Six luxurious mobile tents are positioned to embrace the tranquillity and majesty of the wilderness while twice-daily game drives seek out the wildebeest and a myriad of other wildlife on safari.

Kirurumu Serengeti Central Camp is a lovely mobile camp, moved seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti. The camp is used as a base, a spring board for an early morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a days adventure where stories can be swapped around a fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff are on hand just to look after a very limited number of guests and so the level of attention and service is always excellent.

Meaning ‘endless plains’ in the Maasai language, the Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. Lemala Nanyukie is located a 60-minute drive east of the Seronera Airstrip in the park’s central region, and is superbly located with outstanding views across these fascinating ‘endless plains’. This area of the Serengeti is crossed by the thrilling wildlife spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, but also has high-density game-viewing at all times and is well-known for its large concentration of cats, so much so that until recently this area was set aside for scientific research into predators, especially cheetah. As such, Lemala Nanyukie is open year-round, and safari activities like game drives and walks will be accompanied by Lemala’s highly-knowledgeable and experienced guides.

One authentic mobile tented camp, but in two locations, Lemala Ndutu & Lemala Mara moves north and south with the seasons to ensure guests enjoy ringside seats to the spectacle of the magnificent wildebeest migration year-round. The 12 tents of Lemala Mara Tented Camp are set up under large Euclea trees in the heart of the best game viewing area of the Northern Serengeti between June and October. It’s very close to the Mara River, but yet the camp is far enough away to remain discreet and not interrupt wildlife behaviour as the wildebeest mass along the steep banks during their frantic crossing on their way north to the Maasai Mara. Here, in this immense remote wilderness, guests can enjoy fabulous landscapes and terrific game viewing with practically no crowds. Resident wildlife numbers are always high, but nothing compared to the dramatic scenes during the migration as tens of thousands of animals gather to then plunge into the crocodile-infested river.

Naona Moru Camp offers eleven tented suites in a quiet corner south-west of central Serengeti. It's location is a natural alcove, it is protected with lush vegetation, but with a small open plain for game watching a stone' throw away. It is also in good distance for central Serengeti game driving, and also the wildlife-filled habitats around the Moru Kopjes. Combine crisp white sheets, gentle Serengeti breezes, running hot water, attractive neurtal decor with a pop of colour, comfortable sitting area, Victorian desk to record adventures, WI-FI and an efficient service - this is how wild elegance is served. Wash off the 'safari powder' in the large shower recess or relax outside the tent to hear the sounds of the wild. Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp is in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area near the border of the Southern Serengeti. This area is classic savannah, characterized by flat grassy plains, and our camp is in one of the finest locations in Ndutu to see the migration between December and March. Tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle usually arrive in December to graze on the newly-watered, highly nutritious short grass plains, and then by February, the main calving season takes place. Predators – especially the big cats – are highly concentrated in the Ndutu area in these months. With 9 tents, Lemala Ndutu is perched on the edge of a permanent marsh and acts as the ultimate amphitheatre to capture the boundless drama that accompanies the migration

The Asilia Retreats deliver an elevated level of exclusivity and flexibility, creating a personal space for a family or group of friends. Complete with a private guide and vehicle, host, and dedicated chef, the Retreats have been designed to offer a unique safari experience.

Each Retreat consists of two en suite bedrooms, a lounge and dining area, and a sprawling veranda leading to a private firepit – perfect for soaking up the expansive views across these iconic Serengeti locations. Between the two Retreats is a shared environment featuring a lounge and dining area, and a swimming pool reserved for the exclusive use of Retreat guests. The shared dining area will only be used when both Retreats have been booked by the same party, but the lounge and swimming pool can be enjoyed by Retreat guests at any time.

Before Namiri Plains was built, these grasslands were closed for 20 years to allow the cheetah population to restore. The nearest other camps are over an hour’s drive away so you can experience the vast plains all to yourself.

Located at a one-hour drive along a panoramic route from Seronera (Central Serengeti) and 30 minutes from the Olduvai Gorge. The camp has been designed to cause a minimum impact on the environment. All the infrastructure is mobile and the philosophy of the company is not to leave anything behind after dismounting the camp.

Sanctuary Kichakani Serengeti Camp takes the traditional tented camping experience to new heights; and offers luxury traditional tented accommodation not seen elsewhere in the Serengeti. The small and intimate camp comprises of just 10 luxury safari tents, all with ensuite bathrooms with indoor bucket showers, kingsize beds, and everything that makes a Sanctuary tented camp an authentic safari experience. All the tents also feature hairdryers, mosquito nets, in-room safes and a small sitting area in front of each of the tents where early morning coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed before starting the day of incredible game viewing. The large and comfortable communal tents provide a dining area where scrumptious meals are served, a lounge area perfect for afternoon relaxation, and lounge bar where pre-dinner drinks are served. All of the main areas include breath taking views of the spectacular surrounding scenery and large trees surrounding this intimate camp. Comfortable sofa spots are also set up around the camp to afford unique viewpoints. Electricity supply is a combination of silent packed generator and inverter battery system.

The open plains of the Lamai Wedge are incredibly beautiful and abundant in game. The landscape is reminiscent of scenes from Out of Africa, and there is plenty of freedom to roam and explore. The camp is situated opposite Crossing Point 4, midway among all crossing points along the river – and is perfectly positioned to spectate the wildebeest river crossings. Away from the river, this area of rolling savannah, boulder-strewn hillsides and fig-tree groves, is littered with inconceivably enormous herds of wildebeest, topi and zebra – as well as all the predators that gorge on this movable feast. Needless to say, the game-viewing we have access to is world-class. Cheetah, lion and elephant especially make for fantastic sighting, but it’s not unheard of to see the Big Five in a day.

Kusini is perfectly positioned to access the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, as well as the Serengeti National Park – two spectacular game-viewing areas encompassing high concentrations of cheetah, honey badger, golden-backed jackal and hyena, as well as a parade of predators feasting on the newborns.

Set in the midst of an incredible scenery of savannah and skies, you find Ikoma Tented Camp, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees. Ikoma has 35 traditional Meru tents, each under thatch with a private veranda overlooking the impressive plains of the Serengeti.

The Ole Serai Luxury Camp - Seronera is located 14kms from the Seronera HQ / Airstrip, and lies right in the Heart of Central Serengeti. It allows visitors to be in the proximity of the Great Migration and to be able to explore remote areas and the beautiful settings of Seregenti with a large amount of resident fauna. The camp has only ten double tents and a family tent which assures the intimacy and exclusivity of this intense experience.

Serian’s Serengeti is a mobile camp, and from mid-December to May, we set up on the southernmost extreme of the Serengeti’s short grass plains: prime position to spectate the wildebeest birthing season. Dramatic savannah storms sweep in nourishment and new life, and an innate primordial urge pulls the wildebeest to the site of their origins to reproduce. The plains literally come to life for the birthing season. Millions of gnus and zebra dominate the landscape, looking for the fresh green grass that follows the first rains – and to give birth to their young.

This Luxury Camp is strategically located within the northern (Kogatende) area of the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and is set amidst the most prime areas of the Serengeti following the path of the great migration, sparsely inhabited by large Acacia as well as Tortilis Tree’s and is home to several species of wildlife that reside in this area year round due to catchments of water bodies around the area. Due to the Campsite’s ideal location, the great spectacle of the world-famous annual migration can be witnessed almost as close as to the camp’s doorsteps – since the site lies along one of the main migratory corridors/routes, which the wildebeest use during their Great Migration going to and fro the North and South of the Serengeti.

Nasikia Mobile Camp has 10 tents that remain mobile throughout the year, depending on seasonal reservation requirements and location of the wildebeest migration. We endeavour to retain the uniqueness and intimacy of the camp, whilst being directed by the location, wildlife and other factors of responsible tourism. 01 June – 31 October – located at Kogatende, in the far northern areas of the Serengeti. This puts us in a great position to game drive to the Kogatende and Mara Rivers in the hope of gaining a view as the herds run the gauntlet of crocodiles as they cross the rivers. This is typically ideal, especially between mid-July and mid-September each year.

Simbavati Grumeti is nestled on the open plains between the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti River, within Tanzania’s fabled northern safari circuit. It is on these acacia dotted plains that multitudes of wildlife congregate all year round in a game viewing spectacular.

These plains also play host to vast herds of wildebeest, which assemble during their annual migration and move between the north and south of the Serengeti National Park. You may also be lucky enough to see buffalo, giraffe, lion and other wildlife from your tent and the lodge.

Twelve  luxury safari tents have a king-sized bed (which can be converted to twin), en-suite bathroom with outdoor showers, ample storage space, viewing deck and views over the plains.

The mobile Olakira Migration Camp follows the wildebeest migration around the Serengeti, from the epic river crossings in the north to the southern plains where they give birth to thousands of calves each year. Stay with us to witness the greatest animal migration in the world. 

Between June and October, Olakira is in the north to witness the crossing of the Mara River. Here, watch thousands of wildebeest take a leap of faith into the water, facing hungry Nile crocodiles and cantankerous hippos. When the herds are on the move, the air is full of grunting, thudding hooves and billowing dust. From December until March, we move camp to the southern plains of the Serengeti, where the wildebeest go to give birth and graze on lush grass, and predators such as lions and cheetahs gather to prey on the young.  

Even at night, the Olakira Migration Camp experience is special. Our mesh-covered stargazing tents allow guests to sleep under a sky of glittering stars.

Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti. Set plum in the middle of one of the richest game areas in the Serengeti, this bush home from home is designed specifically with little children in mind, as well as being  a great place for  groups of friends. Mkombe was a guide who cherished this area and connected strongly with children – and their parents. He would have seriously loved it here, as will anyone who stays in the house we named after him.

Witness the early morning mist rise on the banks of Lake Masek.

From the private terrace of your tent you can observe the wildlife of the area. Many animals visit the lake in search of water and therefore this camp is in a privileged observation point.

Besides, this area is the principle setting of the Great Migration which takes place from December to April and the Big Five visit the area. The camp is set-up every year in a different part of the area, to make sure that you will always have the best place to see this impressive spectacle from your own tent.

In addition, the camp is ecological without losing in comfort and attention. The electricity is generated by solar panels and the water is rain water collected during the rains. All the products used are biodegradables.

Each tent is built on a raised wooden platform with a verandah from which guests can observe the wildlife visiting Lake Masek.

The bedroom area is ample and tastefully furnished.   The bathroom area with twin washbasins, a standalone bath and an outside shower is separated from the bedroom area by way of a screen, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing bath or take a shower under the stars.

The main house has a lounge and dining area and a large verandah overlooking the lake.

The lounge is decorated with comfortable sofas and armchairs grouped together to create intimacy, and meals are served in the dining area or on the verandah from which you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Lake Masek.

There are 4x4 vehicles based at the camp offering fantastic game drives in the area.    Bush breakfasts and/or cocktails can be arranged in private areas of the park upon request.

The camp is located one-hour drive from the important Olduvai archaeological site where the Leakeys made important  discoveries.  This is a visit that you should not miss.

Also, escorted hikes give you an extraordinary opportunity to walk together with a very experienced Masai Guide who will introduce you to their culture and everyday activities.   A visit to a Masai house (boma) can be arranged as well.

During the migration season balloon safaris can be arranged.

This particular camp is located 17kms from Seronera HQ / Airstrip, and lies right in the heart of central Serengeti. The spectacular and secluded location of this camp boasts all year round game which choose to graze around the camp due to its lagoon type contoured landscape, where the camps is surrounded on three sides by water catchments. There are also large acacia trees spread sparingly across the camp which adds on to create a tranquil feel of the camp and also helps provide natural shading assisting to keep cool the tents during the hot summer months.
